Cutting down steel garage door

Hey guys, been lurking here for awhile gathering ideas for my new garage (30x36). Great site! Posts are supposed to be set next week with any luck. It will have two single stall garage doors (10w x 9h) with 10 ft sidewalls on the post frame building. I found a 20w x 10h used garage door in the style I like and was wondering if I could cut it half. It is also too high but I think I could remove one section and get by with a 10W x 8.5 H door or maybe cut down in this direction as well. Don't know much about the door, double wall steel, insulated. Anybody ever cut one down? Any thought appreciated.

It seems to me that it woul dbe more of a pain to cut the door and then redo the cut section of the door to work for your new opening. Good idea, but seems to time/money consuming.

Removing a panel to get a lower height would work (the panels are typically 2 ft tall...) Slicing out 10 ft to make it narrower may be difficult (but I'd guess it could be done.) No way you'll be able to convert one 20 ft door to two 10 ft doors however, you'd be missing too many pieces (edge pieces for example.)
