Kerosene works well on cast irons... I'm surprised no one said air.. I use air on most metal sawing .. There is a stick of DoAll good stuff for sawing too.. but only when I'm doing deep cross cuts...
We used to sell Mystic Metal Mover. Amazing stuff, for about everything except aluminum. For aluminum, the same folks produced Alumicut, which also worked well. I still have and use both. I’ve heard that the new stuff may not be the same formula. Can’t say for sure.
Soluble oil & water for many lathe and mill projects; WD40 for aluminum; dark pipe threading oil for stainless; stick lube for bandsaw, saber saw and (sometimes) table saw blades.
