Cutting garage gas curb

I have an attached garage with a concrete slab floor. There is a 4" step down from house to garage. The problem is that the step isn't right at the front wall where the service door is, it extends 42" into the garage before it drops. I have some heavy items that get stored pushed against the same wall. I have to lift them up and down to use or put them away.
Does anyone have any experience/suggestions for cutting that gas curb back so it doesn't extend so far into the garage?

Cut off saw and chip the rest off by hand or a rotary hammer. Then grind smooth if you want.

It may depend on which way the door opens.

Some codes want a "landing area" on the side the door opens onto.
In other words, you cannot have a door that opens onto a drop off.

Well, the door opens into the house so there's no concern there.
I might give that a try. Thanks

Yes a 14" blade on a saw will cut about 5 inch deep. You can put a 3/4 plywood strip down so your over cut is limited. Then take a 35lb breaking hammer to it. I would go deep and patch back vs grinding but that's me
