Cutting shooting targts

Cut four sheets of AR500 1/2" plate for a new range, The plate stayed pretty cool to the touch with the water table level under the plate. Over all the targets turned out pretty nice.
The machine was set up for 80 amp (Hypertherm 1250) and 40 ipm. The laser helped indexing to avoid the predrilled holes on the plate to prevent the touch from diving resulting in a collision. The material was purchased from a copper mine that shut down some time ago. I believe the plates are bed liners for large haul trucks and the holes used for mounting.

The plate was provided by the customer. Apparently his father purchased semi loads of this liner material (unused) several years back when copper mining was not profitable and the mine closed.

Haha! funny thing, the first one I drew looked like GSD. We have four GSD's so I had to make them more primitive as the wife would have shot me.

I wanna say your right on scrap price. He said he had three semi loads. The customers dad owns a very large industrial yard.
