Cut four sheets of AR500 1/2" plate for a new range, The plate stayed pretty cool to the touch with the water table level under the plate. Over all the targets turned out pretty nice.
The machine was set up for 80 amp (Hypertherm 1250) and 40 ipm. The laser helped indexing to avoid the predrilled holes on the plate to prevent the touch from diving resulting in a collision. The material was purchased from a copper mine that shut down some time ago. I believe the plates are bed liners for large haul trucks and the holes used for mounting.
