Not sure what a momentary switch does? I`m thinking start/stop until function is switched from one to the other?
Thanks for the replies, un fortunately I have to go to work now!

Do the buttons return to their original position after depressing them, or are they maintained? If they do the former they are pilot duty, & will require a magnetic starter to work, if maintained is there a HP rating on the switch?

Edit: I did not look at the photo closely, it is a motor rated switch & should wire line at the top & load at the bottom, use a multi meter to verify & should be good to go if so.

Is the Drill Press motor 120VAC or 240VAC?

If 120 than you will use only two of the four terminals, switching the black hot lead.

If 240 than you will use four terminals switching both hot leads.

Typically the terminals are top to bottom for each pair, but check with a light or meter.

The drill press is 120vac 1956 Delta/Rockwell…it has a toggle switch on the motor & now will have this Cutler switch mounted on the head for a more convienent & safe operation. Thanks to all for your input….

EH-
It looks like a DPST switch.
Power in and power out.

If it is not, it might be the momentary type.
In which case,
You need a contactor, also known as a motor starter.
The start button is NO, the stop button is NC.
Wire the start button to pull in the coil.
Hold the coil in with an auxiliary contact.
Use the NC switch in series with the coil
to drop it out. If you use an overload and
it has a contact, wire it to drop out the coil
as well.
But I really think it is a regular on/off switch
with double poles. More easy to deal with.
Hope this helps.
