Dad’s really old creeper Dippsy dood?

My Dad had this old creeper since the 70’s, which was given to him by another old timer. We guessed this was from the 30’s?? All square nuts. The wheels say DIPPSY DOO or DIPPSY DOOD? anybody got any insight? It might not be the most comfortable thing but I remember sticking automatic transmissions on it and it rolled super smooth.

Need advise on vintage casters restoration (1930s?)

Good evening. I got a new mystery box (Thank you for your help FJ 432!!!). It has 4 casters on the bottom .Two are working, two are solidly stuck (probably for some time given the plattened metal surface) . The sign on the bottom of the casters says patent DIPPSY DOODLE SMASH PROOF applied for...

I replaced my casters because they were so worn out they had a knife edge. I got new ones ( but 1" higher) from Snap-On and they were not that expensive.

Thanks for the info , i'm going to clean it up. It never had a pad / cover. I saw a pic or an old ad one time of a creeper like this. No idea where i saw it

I have the same brand on a 1930s SK roller (1939-1943 production time)
... They could have been added late as well

Totally cool device!

Now just add a small DC motor and LiPo battery and you're go to go!
