Daikin Heat Pump Leaking onto Floor

Any ideas why my Daikin interior unit might be leaking?

This happens off & on and destroyed the hardwood floors once already. I have it serviced/cleaned every 6 months but the problem keeps coming back.

Drips come from the right hand side of the unit above the arrow

The condensate drain line probably came unhooked or is clogged forcing the water (condensate) to pour out of the unit.

If this is a recurring problem, you might want to check the slope of the line.

Is the unit itself leaking Or is condensate leaking from the drip pan. My installer had to modify the drip pan.

I can see built up condensation on the copper piping at the right hand end of the unit.

I can't say for sure (due to terrible design, you cannot see the drip pan well), but it seems that algae or some other crud has built up in the pan making a daan before the water gets to the drain.

I'm not sure the ***** installers mounted the thing level either.

Those black things are the damper actuators. Is the drain line stopping up with slime? Does the mini use a condensate pump? If so they have a screen that blocks with slime and stops pumping. Condensate tablets would help.

dunno what a condensate pump is or if this Daikin has it

I think the water is dripping onto those actuators from somewhere else

I have had this problem. The service guy blew out the line from the bottom outside and then ran a pint of white distilled vinegar slowly into the condensate tray from the top. Took about 20 minutes so it didn't overflow. He said to do it once in the fall when it switches to heat and once in the spring when it switches to cooling. This kills any mold and dissolves any mineral deposits.

good advice above, but this turns out to be a cracked drip tray
