I'm roughing in my house and am not fond of setting a junction box in the Attic with one home run and multiple wires feeding the various switches hot. I have been Daisy chaining from one switch to the next. My free help keeps bringing up the junction box in the attic idea but I just don't want to. I'm not a professional electrician and not familiar with all the ins and outs of residential.

How would a professional do it?

I cut the house up in thirds. Daisy chained 3-4 switches and made a home run. 3 lighting circuits + bathroom lights.

I've done it both ways. I like the junction box method if you need to add more switches or ceiling fans later on, but it can be done either way. Mostly personal preference.

I just did one and started off wrong going to fix instead of a rewire which it ended up being. I copied the old design with Jbox in attic and should have started over from the basement.
