Dake Arbor Press help

Hey everyone. I have a question. My dad passed away and were have a Dake arbor press that's been kept inside. Its a litte rough but im a novice here. Im posting a picture here of it. Can anyone give me info on this. Model number, tonnage, worth. I know its very heavy and I want to sell it. 1000008958.jpg

Have you visited the Dake site? Their list of models gives dimensions of the various components, which my be clues as to the tonnage of your machine, if you compare them. You could also contact them via email or phone using contact info on their site.


The biggest one listed is 12 tons, but the 3M15 may be a 15 ton model (guessing). The extra strap (rod) on the front would make it stronger than the open ones. I have no clue as to value, but they are expensive when new.

Nice arbor press Johnny. RTM and Mintgrun gave you excellent resources to find the model number. I expect the model number will also be cast in down low on the column where the paint is peeling so magnificently. It's probably a 3M based on the number 3M15 cast in where the handle goes. Ed.

When people paint machines like that, I can pretty much guarantee you they don't know how it works, if they did, they wouldn't have painted over the pins like that because that appears to be a compound press, probably a 12 or 15 Ton and by sliding a pin from one side to another, you can go from like 7 tons to 15 tons but, I bet the pin is frozen in place by paint.
