Call Dake back and tell them what happened when you contacted the local retailers. The last time we needed parts, we ordered direct from Dake, no problem. If they've changed their sales policy since then (couple of years ago), they should help you find an appropriate alternative.
Also, don't expect to find anyone who will discount Dake parts to any great extent, if at all. They're expensive, they've always been so, and that's just the way it is.
