'97 furnace, blower motor, induction motor, igniter, flame sensor, prox switch, and now...another igniter.

This is getting ridiculous. Sadly, I'll be buying it, and replacing the furnace in a few months. Oh well.

I was at their door at 8am, the guy took one look at it and said $26, and walked off to grab one. The HVAC place that sold the last one to me charged me $60 some for it, and it lasted one year. F'in crooks.

Oh well, 8:30am, furnace running, I'm going to bed. Hopefully it will have stopped running by the time I wake up. :spit:

Perhaps you need to seek some help with this.
Maybe you and your furnace can get some counseling.
I had a problem much like yours a couple of years ago with the fridge in my camper.
We talked, I tried to understand, and the fridge did its best.
Ultimately, I bought a new one.
When it arrived, I pulled the piece of junk out, beat it with a hammer then ran it over with my tractor repeatedly, collapsing and folding it over until it would fit in your average duffle bag.
Then, I took it to the recyling center.
I don't know how the fridge felt about all of this, I quit talking to it.
I can tell you the time I spent destroying it with my tractor was extraordinarily rewarding, and I no longer harbor any deep hatred for it.
Your mileage my vary.

Yeah, I had that same issue with a frigidaire fridge. Never will I buy something from that company again.

For decades, Frigidaire was a quality product. Last year, the fridge out in the shop broke a freon tube. It was the 1979 Frigidaire that came out of my parents house. Went looking for a new one to put in my house (with plans to move the ugly 1985 coppertone Kenmore out to the shop) and the sales people at Lowes appliance section said that Frigidaire had suffered serious compressor issues in the two or so years previous, and to stay away from them. I found a Whirlpool Gold black with stainless front in the scratch and dent row that was perfect dimension wise. After discovering the interior fan was stuck, and got it running, it has been a very good fridge. The much smaller Kenmore is out in the shop SUCKING electricity. I didn't realize till I move it out there (different meter) how much power it uses, about $10 per month more than the old Frigidaire!!! The house bill did not change any at all, so I have to assume the new Whirlpool is (being quite a bit larger, about 23 cu/ft vs 17 cu/ft for the old Fridge) at least somewhat more efficient but not by alot. The old Fridge had coils on the back, and thus no condenser fan, yet it performed well in a shop that went to 100+ on days it was closed up while I was at work.

I had the controls go bad twice, lines/water filter freeze and shatter twice, compressor take a ****. All under warranty, all not covered by Frigidaire.

Their reason the last time? I didn't have a receipt to prove date (probably lost it after dealing with them the second time). "Yeah, but there's a build date on the fridge. Since it's a 5 year warranty and (at the last one for the compressor), it's 4 years and 9 months from that build date...it's obviously under warranty." "We need a receipt to know warranty time from when you bought it, sir." "Do you sell fridges before they're made?!?!" "Of course not sir." "Well if you only made it four years and 9 months ago, how in the hell could it be 5 years since I've bought it?!?!"

The compressor was the last straw. I now have an LG fridge that has been wonderful, and sips electricity. Oh, and it was $600 less than I paid for the p.o.s. frigidaire in the first place.

Went on a 'frig buying mission a few years ago, looked at every dealer in 3 counties, looked at every make and model there was, finally thought we had decided on a MayTag.

Went to one last dealer, who had a "MayTag" sign out front......go inside:

"May I help you??"(from the guy that turnsd out to be the owner)

"Yes, I believe we've decided we want one of these MayTags"

"OK, but if you want that model you'll have to buy it from someone else"

"Ugh??":wtf:

"You can buy that one from someone else, I won't sell you one."

"Oh??, and why not??":headscrat

"The water in the door randomly pisses on the floor, and until they fix the problem I ain't selling them."

Hey I like this guy............

Needless to say we left with a frig', wasn't a Maytag.

In the years since we walk in tell them what we're looking for and ask them what they recommend. They give us the straight story on all their models, no BS, no pressure, we decide what we want to spend and we leave with a smile. Done.

A year ago the frig in the above story quit cooling one Sunday. I called 8am on Monday morning, they drove 25 miles to the house, replaced the compressor relay and were gone by 9:15am. Can't ***** about their service either I guess.

People like this get my business.
