The term you are looking for is "humidity"...

Either bake all the sand in an oven or spread it out on a tarp in the sun until dry.

He lives in Scotland, "Sun" and "Dry" aren't terms they're familiar with this time of year.

I was just thinking about this.... how about a heat lamp inside the sandblast cabinet for a few days, maybe reach in and stir the sand every day... just to cut down on the handling.

Drain it out put it thru a screen what makes it thru the screen should be good to use. what is left in the screen put in the oven to dry. Then put it in the sandblaster. when your not using it get yourself some stuff they call damp rid that will keep the dampness out of it. that company carries the holders to put it in. I use 4 containers in my cabinet never had a dampness problem in 10 yr. since i started using it. PM me if you have any questions.

If you have a suction cabinet, too much sand weight can keep it from drafting properly. You only need enough to prevent running out of it while blasting. If air cannot enter the suction end of the suction tube, not enough air will flow through it. This air flow is what pulls sand in behind it.
