Wow! That is some shop and a great tool chest. It seems as though not one tool has ever been used. What tools do you use in your work?:headscrat

Nice shop, but as there is zero dust collection on any of those machines I suspect the guy collects tools but doesn't use them.

If he built that boat in the shop, he used the tools a lot. As mentioned earlier, the photo shoot was done for Fine Woodworking magazine, and they certainly would have spent a ton of time cleaning beforehand.

Sheesh, I wish I knew how to do woodworking like that! I've always been a metal guy, it's what I do for a living, but as awesome as some of the things I've made with metal nothing matches the natural beauty of quality woodwork. Absolutely phenomenal!

dust collection could be under slab, seen that before. wouldn't want to ruin the timber frame look with duct work.

Don't you guys ever clean up your shop?

We had several skilled men working in our familiy business (machineshop) and you can always point out some of those who work super clean and organized. Those are the ones that work without making any mistakes. Ever. They're not the quickest. They are not the funniest. But they do what they have to do very well (as in: perfect).

And the ones that do mess up projects and spill too many resources, always have a mess around their machines and tools. And they always loose something too. Please, have a little bit more respect for the clean-up clan. But you drink beer with the messy guys though. :)

Love the craftmanship of his workshop and projects. And the clean space. :)
