I once had a knock-off brand AA flashlight shoot fire. It was like a Mag Lite, but had a button on the side. I pushed the button and fire came out through the lens.

For you guys that do electrical work: Make sure that you spend the extra for a good quality multi-meter. I had an HF meter that I occasionally used. One day while troubleshooting a 480v circuit, smoke started to come from the meter. This was a 600v rated meter and I was using it properly. So I went home and got my Amprobe to finish the job.

Often I use a meter to verify the "absence" of voltage before working on a circuit because I don't 100% trust volt ticks (non touch voltage detectors). So I could never trust a cheap meter with my life.

Agree with all that has been stated but will add...

When you have inferior tools the danger may not be the actual tool itself but the results it has on the finished product. I have all but lost my mind trying to get an inferior Jet Milling machine to make a repeatable clean cut. Sure rough cuts are easy but you get into anything that needs an actual precise measurement and the round column wanders ever so slightly,, Same with an old HF drill press I had the arbor was not 100% true and had enough endplay that it could drill a hole but you did not want to ream with it..

These little issue will not hurt you but your insanity due to them may have you take your life or at least lose your cool and inflict bodily harm.. Ok I admit I have short patience fuse but just saying....

Biggest danger I found was the ridicule at work. Had a couple tool snobs. Didn't bother me though. They miss out on the truly great deals, simply because they refuse to open their mind at all. I even proved some of them wrong with stuff like HF impact sockets, ratchets, etc. Don't get me wrong HF has some real garbage on their shelves, that should stay where it's at, but certain cheap tools are no issue at all. I've had failed, screwdrivers, pliers, pullers, sockets and other stuff, never any real injury from anything.

Drink more water.

I heal incredibly quickly, but as a result don't always heal properly. Every benefit has a drawback.

If you aren't bleeding when you are supposed to, you're either perpetually dehydrated, or suffer one of a number of disorders that will absolutely and without question nail you one day.

I dont bleed heavily very easy either. But when I do idgaf and keep working.

I had a 800#-rated hand truck I bought from HF collapse under an empty 240# refrigerator. Took it back and the manager wanted to offer credit, I said "give me my money back"...all the time, he insisted that I overloaded the truck. He had five on display, ready to buy, that had a couple of guys looking at them. I asked one of the customers to roll me around on one (I weigh #240), and it collapsed, as well.

The manager gave me my money back.

I have not shopped at HF for over eight years. I'll spend the money and buy quality over cheap any day of the week. That's one of many reasons I still have my hearing, vision, ten fingers and ten toes.

Yer in trouble now dude, these guys worship those junk **** free meters. I wouldn't put one on a 9v battery....

You're lucky you were arrested by the police for intentional destruction of property and/or vandalism. That was an incredibly foolish thing to do, especially if you did so to intentionally damage the product. If I were the manager of that store, I'd ask you to pay for the damage you did to the product.

You broke it. You bought it.
