Hey all. Installing my Danmar lift in my garage. http://www.dannmar.com/dannmar-products/two-post-lifts/admiral-9000X.asp

It's a two post, symetric lift. I got the admiral 9000 X (tra wide) .. I have 11' 4" ceiling. This fits in 10 ft. I researched here some. Seller said it was same as bendpak except only shorter warranty and not certified. But "same exact thing made on same assembly line". Let me say it is awesome looking. $2300 shipped . (You know you wanted to know)
I'll post pics and reviews here but first need a little advice. I'm trying to figure out where to center my posts in the bay . My garage is 24' 8" deep. I'd like the posts as close to garage door as possible , like at 10 , 11 or 12 feet. I drive mostly cars 14 ft loong. my father in law has a GMC 3500 that is almost 22 feet long. So i'm wondering for center of gravity, how many feet i want at the front of post vs the rear of the post. Should i put them centered at 12' 4" or a little to the front ? Maybe the adjustable arms can make up for a couple feet of difference so if i have a little longer vehicle i can always pull it forward a bit more if need be to fit in in the garage.
Also i have 2" deep saw cut down center to prevent cracking. THinking i can't have an anchor in that crack.
Thanks for any tips. Looking forward to letting you all know how this thing works.
