Dasco Pro Punch and Chisel Warranty?

I just bought a set of punches and chisels from dasco pro at lowes. I just couldn't see paying the money for the snappy ones. Anyway, do they have a warranty at all? The package doesnt say.

I just bought the same set at Lowe's, because that's the only Made in U.S.A. I could find at a decent price. I'm not putting too much expectations on the quality because right out of the box, the 1/16" is bent. I had to go back to get the set exchanged. upon close inspection, 2 out of the 6 sets on the shelf, the 1/16" were bent.

this is my first ever set of punch'n chisel, so I have no comparision to others.

The only punches/chisles I have is Dasco pro, I dont think they have a warranty, but the only ones you are likely to bend or break are the small ones 1/16" and 1/8", I really like mine and I think they are alot better then Craftsman punches

No, they shouldn't. If they are bent in the packaging, yes. If John Doe keeps bringing back and exchanging 1/16" pin punches because he cant control his hammer, or he doesn't use the correct hammer that's his own fault.

Those punches are a great price, made in USA but they are a wear item. Replace them as you wear them out. No warranty for a wearable item keep the price very reasonable. The pack of just the punches is about 12 bucks from lowes.

I has a couple of the Dasco nail sets and the steel they used in 'em is softer then chit. Had to set a couple unsunk framing nails from my Paslode and they mushroomed after only a few nails.

Their small flat bar sets have been good. Also have a 6 or 7 pc punch set that I haven't used yet. I believe they are all USA made.

Since starting this thread, I realized how crappy these things are. Even if I could warranty them, I wouldn't because they are so easily broken. I have reversed my original decision and bought Snap-On punches and chisels. I couldn't be happier.

These things are proof that just because something is made in the U.S.A. doesn't make them quality. I bought them because they were inexpensive and made here. Can't have it all, apparently.

Wilde has chisels available through Epsteins. I think they are like $5 more than the Dasco pros for the set.

A buddy just broke my 1/16. It's model number 592. I looked up the warranty, and it's certainly not going to be covered. Looks like I'll replace that one, and then get another set of a different kind as a backup.

And yes, they can be bent still in the package. I was surprised to see that too.

dasco pro punches are pretty much junk if you use them on a regular basis. Snappy is expensive but I haven't broke any.

I've bent even the biggest Dasco Pro chisel. For punches and chisels I like SK and Proto. I have some Wilde punches and they've been good too. SK and Proto are reasonably priced at Zoro and other places.

Broke my small pin punches on the first hammer hits! Bent the 5/8 cold chisel last weekend. Worst USA made brand I own.

I mean I would compare Dasco to room temp butter. For chisels and punches I'm a big fan of Mayhew Pro and 150 lines
