Found this box at a local estate sale and can find out nothing about it.
22" x 9" and 5" deep with a 7 1/2" hip roof. Lift out tray with socket divisions.

Got a complete set of Herbrand 1/2" drive sockets with a speeder, breakover and ratchet with 4 extensions, Universal joint and a 36 mm socket for $15.00.

Well built and worth every penny but I just have never heard of this brand.

I was browsing a bit yesterday when you initially posted. From what I could tell it looked like they made a mix of office furniture and industrial cabinets. Sorry nothing real concrete to report. :dunno: Back in the day, sheet metal companies dabbled a bit in different markets since they had the equipment at their finger tips. It reminds me of a few different boxes. I'd just clean it and enjoy the deal you got on the lot.

That's the plan! Was looking for a traveling box for my brothers car and all the ones I had were too big, too flimsy or plastic. Didn't want to mess with it if it turned out to be some special or specific box.

I had a fellow once lecture me because I was giving my dog water at a swap meet in some 30's hubcap that he had been looking for for 3 years.

It should be yellow by Monday...maybe a black stripe too!

I was going to say that maybe it was a sheet metal company that made them for their employees and stamped them since they had the machinery... :dunno:
