Attempting to date this vise but can't make out if it's 54 or 64? Some remnants of pale green paint along the bottom which I think is original color?

I'm guessing 54
to me the 6 looks like it is more rounded than the unclear number is.

I‘m gonna guess 64 based on the radius of the circular part of the numeral. The unclear one in question seems to have a smaller radius than the 5 and closer to the 6.

I’ve seen lots of sloppy stamping on the bottoms of various Wilton bullets.

Wilton never had a date-stamp of (1954-1958) on any of their machinist vises and up to 1953, all of the date-stamps were only the "month-year".

Here's what I believe to be the same date-stamp from a model 300N, (6-15-64).

The numeral 1 is quite profound and the second 6 is faint on both examples. Thanks for sharing. Would the hammered green be the correct color for in 1959?
