Date Code on B & C combo adjustable?

Does anybody have experience decoding numbers stamped into a Bemis and Call
adjustable wrench? Examples of these wrenches pictured on the internet all
seem to bear different numbers.

This company started up in the early 1800’s

You can see numbers 6. And 9. There is a 7 underneath

Might this be July 1869?

Maybe it isn’t even a date code????
