Date Code on Snap-ON Breaker Bar SNI8A

My SNI8A 1/2" breaker bar just has a regular looking, but tiny "9" stamped after the "USA" on the handle.

I assume it's a date code but doesn't match anything in the date code diagrams on the web.

any ideas?
