Fellas this is my first post here as ive just stumbled upon this forum and im glad to be here. I picked up several older craftsman tool boxes for just a few dollar bills and plan to restore them but I have no idea what model they are.. any help identifying them as well as dating them would be great.

Also open to any tips about restoring them?

the first picture is the actual boxes I picked up. The 2nd picture of the really nice box is the colors I was thinking but more importantly it is the same as the cabinet I have and cant find model number. I know the one in the picture is older due to the design of the labels.

My labels are rectangle plaques riveted to the box which says "Sears Craftsman"

Can't help much. The rectangle logo was used from 1977 thru the mid 80's though.
Yours look like they've got alll their original paint and don't look like they need much in the way of restoration.

Thank you for the reply. They are older than I thought. I figured they were mid 90’s or early 2000. They aren’t too bad except for the cabinet. It’s got a good bit of rust near the bottom. All of the keys are missing also so I will have to address that.

The mid chest is probably in your date range.
Probably not too old.
A nice rig no matter how old though.

I mentioned it in your post in another thread, but will mention it here too. Not all boxes/cabinets have model numbers stamped on them. You can find the model numbers in the Sears Craftsman catalogs found here: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=222&tab=3
