Hello,
I have a Dayton 3E404B 60,000 BTU natural gas heater in my garage.
I ran the natural gas line, lit the pilot, wire nutted the three (black blue red) thermostat wires together and it lit, the fan kicked on, and it worked perfectly. I only ran it for about 2 minutes as i don't have a chimney connected yet.
About 30 minutes later, my gf came out to the garage so i went to turn it on again so she could see (like she cares). The flame lit and stayed on for about 60 seconds. right when the fan was supposed to kick on, the flame shut off and the fan never came on. pilot light only.
I let the heater sit for about 30 more minutes and tried again. This time, i had about 60 seconds of nothing then just the fan came on and ran. no flame.
I have 27V AC at the transformer. I did notice before when i would touch the wires for the thermostat together, the gas valve would click. It does not do this anymore, but the transformer makes a buzzing noise when it is plugged in.
Any ideas or a place i should start? thanks!
