I have an 18" Vertical Bandsaw made by Dayton that I'm having issues with. Long story short, worked fine, went on deployment so I put the saw in storage for about 18 months and just got it back out and into my new garage. This saw is designed to cut both wood and metal. Works fine on wood. However, when I switch the selector switch from wood to metal (with the saw off as instructed) something locks up and when I try to turn the saw back on the motor tries to turn but the pulleys are stuck and don't spin. I have the v-belt on the correct idler gears for steel (80 fpm) but something isn't jiving.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
