Dayton bench grinder refurb

Fixed up a Dayton bench grinder that was in a lucky dip lot from an auction. Was coated with grinding dust, the bearings were seized and the switch full of swarf. Oh and it didn't have any washers or nuts either

Replaced the bearings and replaced the switch with a nice 125V/25A one. Had to make a new plate for the switch

Turns out the threads were 1/2-12, which was a real bummer as I have both left and right hand 1/2-13 taps :(

So I single pointed them, using a piece of hex from a scrapped paper shredder

Made some flange washers from alu and found a couple of brass washers in my collection. Used the buffing wheel to polish them up

All done. I'll probably put a deburring wheel on the other end
