I just picked this up from a friend of the lady friend. Its a dayton electric motor that states 225v to power. I'm probably totally wrong but as i've read 220v has 2 power leads to feed it. this only has room for one inside the pressure switch, as well as a neutral and a ground. Any ideas of how i should wire this switch? Also any idea what pump is this? thank you very much. I didn't learn much electrical in the machine shop. :shocking:

There is no neutral in 220. The white is the other phase. So you have two hots, one black and one white, and the ground. The black and white go to the 2 pole breaker.

I'm not completely sure about the outlet for my dryer is compatible with the motor specs. My current available outlet is a 30A- 125/250v Nema 10-30R. This motor is a 230v with 15.4 full load amps. Is the 30 amp breaker to large for this motors amp draw?
