Dayton Tool Box?????

Ok I seen a old dayton tool box for sale today ,at a local peddlers mall. It was in very good shape. I have been looking for more info on this brand and where they were based out of, but no luck. If there is anyone here thats has any info on the dayton toolboxes let me know.

thinking of going back on payday if its still there?

Dayton is grainger's house brand.

Old--> Chicago, newer --> Probably china

I'm ~95%+ sure those boxes were made by Waterloo, then again not sure what box you are talking about, not much info was supplied.

I bought a Dayton set from Craigs list this year. It is built a lot like my Craftsman box. It cleaned up well and should be a decent box. I will try to post a picture of it this evening after work.

thanks for the info its a older dark brown looks just like the bottom box in the pic below.
Its in about the shape condition also & for 50$ , I think its a no brainer if its there tomorrow its mine. Just was wondering the history of this box.
