I have started my garage renovation and I want to order flooring right away but I am very confused. There is a huge amount of options and I've spent a lot of time going thru everything and the more I look the more confused I get so I was hoping to list out what I need and perhaps some of the vendors or members could give me simple options/advise?

800sft, I live in Florida and I am going to hire a sander to take off the top layer of concrete.

I want a similar finish to what they have on the floor at Home depot, clear simple sealant, nothing fancy. I am going to be working on my cars but nothing heavy just simple stuff, brakes, fluids etc.

Please let me know what you would suggest.

Thank you in advance.

Mark
PS I will be documenting and posting the progress.

Grind & Polish

This is what you generally see at the box stores. Concrete is densified and polished with a successively finer grit.

If Power Troweled

If your floor is already power troweled you could talk to Legacy Industrial about a HD40 application. I can't give you details on it but they could

Wildmark, welcome fellow Floridian!

The surface you are referring to is not sealed it is heavily burnished or polished.
The surfaces at big-box stores are NOT chemical resistant or stain resistant.

Here are a few options from our stable...

http://www.legacyindustrial.net/products/hellfire-coating/hellfire-concrete-coating.html

Good luck.

On the Hellfire, do you have to have the color? I would prefer clear?

Hi
If you are looking for the 'polished concrete' look, our SPGX one part polyurea mimics that very well.
