De-rusting my large Diamalloy nippers

Going to de-rust and remove some paint on the handles. Found these a while back at a pawn shop and only paid a few bucks. They're in surprisingly nice condition. I'll post pictures when they're all clean

Got it mostly clean. Turns out a lot of the rust was actually gross paint :)

That’s great! I love finding tools at garage/estate sales and bringing them back to life.

Oh yeah! I have no problem buying crusty tools because I know I can bring them back (unless they're super rusty) - plus you usually get a better discount on them

Nice find.
Might be worth a “You ****”. But you didn’t tell the price you paid.

I bought them a few years ago, ended up getting divorced, moved, so I just recently unearthed a box of my larger tools. Finally getting around to cleaning them. I don't know what I paid but it was very little, probably $3 or something

Here is a NOS pair I found in a Diamond lot last weekend at an estate sale. These look to be 10” rather than 14”

They come in various sizes. I have two different sizes. They are great for pulling nails, that's why they are called Carpenter's Nippers.
