Few years old, lightly used(not in a shop). Shows 3 battery bars then quickly goes to 4 bars(full) battery. Will turn on if plugged in, turns off as soon as I unplug it. I'm guessing a dead battery? Opened it up, Seems to be a 18650 with a little PCB. Anyone had any luck replacing this? I don't see it in the repair parts on the website, will probably have to go with something off aliexpress or weld a new 18650 in?

Measure the battery voltage, perhaps if not used much the battery gone flat and with these if dips below a threshold value they don't recharge .
Would be easy enough temporary rig another 18650 for testing or another 3.5-4V supply to test it comes one .
If unlucky it maybe the little charge pcb board but that might be replaceable with something sourced off eBay ...

Ebay or similar . the protection board might be reusable but if not you can get these too and hopefully could get something to work.
Have you measured the current cell voltage ?

Yea it's dead. I ripped off the little tabs from the old battery and welded on a spare 18650 I had. It's alive! With these lights now getting older and older hopefully this thread will help someone(my rep said can't help and offered a (decent) rebate on a new one).

fitting a 18650 you had lying around is better deal than any snapon dealer rebate on a new light :)
