I will do the same when the time comesUsed to have a similar saw, not CM but Edison brand I think, but it was variable speed, Actually did pretty well for light duty metalwork, sailed thru aluminum up to 3/8" or so, steel was so so up to about 1/8". Sold it when I got a full size saw.
I'll look into thatIf you can slow the blade speed down to around 200-250, buy a Morse 10-14 TPI metal cutting blade for it. That might be more useful in your shop.
