Dealer demonstration tools.

I have inadvertently started a small collection of demonstration tools. Its not something I set out to do but now that I have a couple I'm going to keep a eye out for some more.

Up first is a SPP882 "socket prop"
It is suppose to show the superiority of Snap-on sockets (in this case 3/8" drive 10mm deep sockets) by showing that the larger outside diameter and deeper hex of the competitive sockets are a disadvantage.

Next is a Snap-on SPP403
These were designed to give a inside look at the new sealed head ratchets by putting a clear cover over the ratchet guts.

Anyone else have any examples of dealer demonstration tools to show off?

The SPP882 was a gift from a relative last Christmas, They bought it off of Snap-on's site thinking that it was a nut driver of some sort. I was surprised that it was available directly from snappy to someone that is not a dealer. The SPP403 I bought from a ebay auction that someone had linked to on this board.

The new ones like the top set actually come up on the snap on site when they are first released on the "new products" page, and have a part number and purchase price.

Bringing this thread back from the dead to show off the Cornwell dealer demo cutaway JR-30 that I picked up in the classifieds.

Cutout in the bottom plate that shows how the gear and pawl work.

One more comparison of the two.

Awesome stuff there! Love the Snap-on demo ratchet.

My Snap-on deep 1/2" sockets cost me a fraction of the new cost off eBay, they were a demo set on a truck and were never used.

Anyone know the cost of a 1/2" deep metric set (6-point) 10mm-32mm (no 11mm)?

I believe all of the Snap-on demo tools (at least the recent ones) start with a SPP part number. So if someone has one of the clear ratcheting drivers we should be able to find out easily.

It must not be a demo tool then. :( Here is a close up of mine. I chased this type of ratcheting screwdriver for 4 years before I found one.

The clear screw drivers were a stock item in the 90's I bypassed one as I knew the effect of solvents and UV rays on the clear material well. ( grip shift x ray)

No problem I saw that auction as well but it was a bit out of my price range right now for tools that are mostly for looking at. Still thanks for looking out and its cool to see another diesel tech here.
