Has anyone used one of these tools to deburr the inside of a hole in 14ga or so sheet metal? I need to drill several 1/2" holes in some 14ga material that I don't have access to the backside for deburing with a conventional tool. I need to access this from the outside. Tool shown is a Noga BC2200.

Blade appears to be reversible:

Any other suggestions?

I run into the same situation on a regular basis and I still just use my standard deburring tool. As long as I have enough clearance to lay it over its never been a problem. That looks pretty cool but might be a bit aggressive and catch the edge easier making it more difficult.

But I'm sure someone here will have some actual experience with that tool and better input.

making it more difficult.

Exactly my concern, I'm likely going to have to use a short step drill to make the holes and it will for sure have a large burr on the inside.

I'm drilling the holes in a steel box that has components inside that prevent me from accessing the inside surface from within the box. I have to do the deburing from outside.

I have to deburr because the end user will need to use these holes and they can't have sharp edges.

Look into the Shaviv B30 internal/external deburring blade for thin gage boxes/panels etc.

I've attached the section showing their internal deburring blades. Not paid to advertise, but they are the best, and all I use and recommend to people. :willy_nil

I own the smallest Noga as pictured, but I've only used it on Al and plastics. I do agree it would likely just catch edges in steel.

I would, if possible, use step bits to drill your holes. They tend to leave a "better" burr than twist drills.

I like the "hook" blades Dimitri posted for whirrly birds - those look more promising.

General tools 482 Swivel Deburring Tool with handle is what I had when I worked at Boeing.

The tool is available from Amazon for around $13-20.00
