Hey folks. I’ve been watching a few YT channels lately, and found one where this fellow in England restores small machinery like tillers and mowers and whatnot. He brings some pretty abused and neglected junk back to life, like brand new looking! One striking element to what he does is graphically recreating the stickers/decals on the machines. I mean, he takes photos and measurements of them, graphically designed them on computer, and then prints them. They look fantastic, and really put that finishing touch on the finished product.

I was wondering, anyone do something similar? Wondering if there is a known program for doing that kind of graphical work. I rehab equipment all the time, but can’t reproduce stickers, or make my own custom ones....I’d like to add that to my arsenal!

There's a guy on instagram, and on Practical Machinist as well, not sure if he's on here though. Kingtutley - he copies and reproduces badges for machines. He scans and traces the images and essentially makes a digital copy of the badge. But he uses them to etch into brass and paint, not make stickers. I would assume it's fairly easy to just print off the image onto some sticker paper and do it that way though, may be worth contacting him. [email protected]

There's also this thread on doing some repro stickers for Craftsman grinders, there's some good info in there.
