Decent C-clamp style nut splitter?

I needed a nut splitter the other day, but I don't own one and was forced to use my dremel instead. So now, I want to buy a splitter for next time.

I was all set to get a Japanese forged Jawco nut splitter off ebay, and the ****** box arrived empty. I got my refund, but I'd rather have had the nut splitter. New Jawcos are Taiwan-made.

Who can recommend one? I like the open-style splitters, rather than the ring style, as they seem like they'd be easier to position in a tight space. I'm considering the OTC offering, but I think those are Chinese? I'd prefer at least Taiwan, but I'd rather have USA, of course. Budget is $35.

The Snap-on NC52 works the best but list price is $105. I recently got the made in Taiwan KD 715. Haven't used it yet bought it looks okay. Price is with your budget.

I haven't tried snap on but splinter, but if the several others I have tried, none impressed me and were deemed a waste of time.

Depends where the nut is, many times I can't get in with a nut splitter. I do have a variety of die grinders. They zip a nut in half in a minute.

The Chinese 10$ one I have has split1/2" grade 8 nuts for me a few times. Pulling a hitch off a 3/4ton van. Frustrating to use but it works
