Since I'm having to replace all of my sockets, ratchets and wrenches, what do you guys think of these auctions? I'm a little wary of buying the regular Craftsman tool sets as I already am stocked on screwdrivers, allen wrenches, etc.

I've been primarily looking for sockets myself
I'd like all of mine to match I hate having mix n match sets

Craftsman has a large set of pretty much sockets only, that's not a bad deal price wise
I'm pretty sure it's a 170 piece set without all the wrenches n screwdrivers n pliers n stuff ..... just sockets

Sears usually has some sort of "early bird" special from 5 or 6am (when they open) until 12pm or so on Black Friday. I bet they'll be something you can use and some of their stuff during this sale is 50% off. The only trouble is, there'll be a lot of people there and they might sell out of what you went to get. I'm pretty sure they DON'T give rainchecks for this sale.

Yup that's the one
Either set is a good price at $1 or $1.3 a socket

The only problem I've had with the instore sales is I've never seen either of theses sets in the store
Maybe it's just my location but all I've ever seen is the all inclusive sets

The BF Sears ad went up today:

Unfortunately, I don't see any really spectacular deals. There's a couple gearwrench sets and a nice wet/dry vac (are these on par with Shop-Vac, same thing?).

I bought a sweet set of Craftsman 6pt sockets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. Did not come with any garbage that wasn't needed like allen keys, etc.

I can look up the set if interested.
