Decent priced all inch/sae socket set?

I've had a Craftsman "all metric" socket set for about 20 years, and it has always worked well. I've never had to warranty a socket. That set, plus various other metric sets I've picked up over the years, means I'm pretty well covered for metric sockets.

However, my sae/inch sockets are a mess. They're a mismatched mess of random sizes and brands.

I'd like to get a nice set of sae sockets to round out my set. I was looking at the craftsman 299 piece set, but it seemed excessive since I already have a double set of metric sockets.

Can anyone recommend a good, decently priced, complete inch/sae set?

I do have two of each inch size hansen organizers, so it would be really nice to find a set that would be close to filling in all the pins...

I know everyone likes photos, so here's a picture of the inch side of my socket drawer:

You could buy one of the large USA Cman socket sets and sell off the metrics if you don't want to keep them. It really all depends on your budget and COO preference(if any).

I was considering buying the 299 piece set and selling the metrics off. That probably would be the cheapest approach.

Is there a manufacturer that sells an inch set with 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 sockets?

Or even really complete but separate size sets?

I'd imagine most examples of just SAE sets will likely be far more expensive than picking up a inclusive Craftsman set, and getting rid of extras.

I don't know when Sears/Craftsman added "Opti-Torque" or "Surface-Drive" or whatever they call their version of Flank Drive, but it's possible you might end up upgrading your metrics with the new set, if they don't have this feature.

If you can find the NOS USA-made set, it's a hell of a deal. I can't comment on the Chinese-manufactured sockets as I have no experience with them - save to say that, if I'm going to buy imported stuff, I'll start looking at other brands before I'd commit to Craftsman (though, I still doubt any imported stuff is going to be anywhere near as inclusive as the 299-piece set for anywhere near the price).

another option is piece it together with Gearwrench socket sets from Advance Auto and use one of those nice heavy discount online coupons.
