New here, obviously, and I spent a couple three hours reading threads on lighting. I had recently purchased a eight or nine T-12 strips for my basement :tantrum2: and I was going to do the same for the garage until I found you guys.

I hate you.

What was going to cost me about $50 ($10 each for five, two bulb 4' strips) just cost me nearly 10 times that! :willy_nil

It's a two car garage with about a 10 foot ceiling.

I went with four T-5 strips (MADE IN USA): http://www.warehouse-lighting.com/item/107861/4-Foot-T5HO-Industrial-Strip-Light-Fixture.aspx. It's a 4' two bulb T-5 strip. And I purchased a small case (25 bulbs) for another $100. I'll use the bulbs as I replace some of the T-12 units in my basement.

Thanks. I think!

Just think how much happier you will be after the initial pain. Give it the two week test, if you have forgotten about it after two week, then you made the right decision! :drink:

Well, I don't think you needed to go with that kind of expense, but it sure looks like a nice unit.
