I was almost set on Rustoleum Rocksolid metallic but then found this forum and got a bit overwhelmed with all the great info and experiences. Hoping you guys can help me decide what to do...
I used to do concrete so love the look of a shiny, burnished/burned-in machine finish but the new (for us) house has a 10year old version of that. Some spots are still slick and dark, some are a bit rough like 120grit, oil stains and rust spots from previous owner... overall still good condition.
Location: St. Louis, MO=Winter salt, hot tires
Garage details: 2 car, 480sqft
Goals: cover/ hide crooked zip strip cracks and oil stains. Shiny or somewhat shiny finish. Some texture for wet conditions. Stand up to occasional auto jacks/jack stands, drops of hand tools(hammers, wrenches, etc), kids toys being drug and thrown all over.
I was thinking epoxy the cracks, grinding it, then doing a full flake epoxy kit but now wondering if something easier like a few coats of RustBullet would be OK.
Thanks in advance!
