did you make the chairs too?
Chairs were built by my father. Story was before AC in homes, especially in the "mill village", summertime everyone would sit outside in the cool after dusk, while house cooled off. Many would walk the block and visit neighbors.
Dad built these to relax in after supper, especially put a wide, level armrest big enough for glass of tea or other beverage, food plate or a book.
Recall conversation with dad about walking the mill village after supper, everone would be outside, windows open, everyone listing to the same radio show so you could walk the block and not miss your radio show.
I know I sanded and painted the frames around when I was 10-15 yr old, now 59. of course they have been painted more since then.
