Any suggestions on where some of you guys get the cool posters, banners etc that are on the walls in your garage? I have finally cleaned up my garage, painted the walls, floor, new storage but still missing that "wow" factor that I see in so many of the garages posted. I found "posters" but wonder how you get some of the banners and stuff. Thanks.

I'd been collecting Mustang/Ford stuff for years before I was able to do my garage, but I found a lot of stuff on eBay.

Search there for:
(insert your choice of car here) poster
***** banner
***** sign
***** art
***** die-cast
***** model

Or just do a generic search for the brand of car. There will be thousands of hits, but select the catagory you want to look in and spend some time. It's amazing how many cool Ford things you can find if you invest a little time on eBay.

If you like GM vehicles, stop over at www.gmphotostore.com . They've got posters, framed and unframed pictures, old ads, even vintage neon dealer signs. Although be prepared to pay a fortune for one of those dealer signs. Also, like others have said ebay, and other auction or classifieds sites.

edit: also, check out www.allposters.com . They've got a bunch of posters and tin signs.

i know this thread is kinda old but i found it interesting so here's my two cents.
go to events that cater to your interests, locate the promoter and ask for any promotional items that might be left over. they will usually let you have them to keep from having to take them down themselves. worst they can do is say no.

garage sales, flea markets, businesses, friends, and trashbins and local dump sites are al valid places to find authintic coolstuff.
if none of these options do it for you then the only option is to try to buy all new stuff.
just my humble opinion but all new is hardly ever really cool with the wow factor. it usually takes time and a little effort to achieve an atmosphere of cool that represents all the interests of a collector of cool stuff.
cheers:beer:
