@Xti04 Reducing fuel consumption in vehicles is what they say. My thought is just anther opportunity to have the gov involved in your life. Something to Regulate and hold over you. Ive never had any eco tires nor will I either.
@M.Brane One of my buddies has SD plates. He has property there. He encouraged me to register my stuff in SD but at the time I figured it was going to put a target on my back. At the time I was going to be hauling my skid steer and didnt want CHP to harass me. He had a skid steer business, all the weight be towed he technically need to CDL. He would skip the scales all the time until he got caught and had to weigh in. They parked his stuff and told him he couldn't drive it too heavy of a load for a non CDL.
Everyonce in a while Id see citizens on patrol going through parking lots running Vins and comparing the out of state license plates. The intent is to paper f you and make you register your vehicle to your residence. I thought that was pretty petty. I can see why people do it though. My truck is a 2011 F250 diesel with 150k miles my registration is $545 a year. Everything is expensive in CA with almost little to show from it. Our roads are horrible.
