Deep well 3/8 sockets with uniform socket height 8-19mm?

Revamping my metric socket collection.
Main go to are snapon semi deep 8-19mm. I like the shallow broach, and uniform socket height throughout the set.
For the deep wells, i would like a deeper broach, as well as uniform socket overall height from the smallest 8mm to the 19mm unit.
Perhaps maybe a 12pt deep, as I only have 1/2 drive 12pt shallow metrics.
Snap on's current offering does not meet this criteria.

I see MAC precision torque would meet this criteria , but I believe these are Taiwan, unlike normal non PT series which are USA? Lot of money for offshore stuff
Not opposed to taiwan sockets like GW since they are 1/4 of the money. Are the walls much thicker than MAC/Snap, and how is the final fit?
How about the Koken deeps? They look a little short tbh, not much deeper than the SO semi deeps.

What are your guys thoughts?

IMO, the Toptul stuff is finished better and is of a higher quality. Which, is amazing considering the price point.

Ko-ken deeps are shallow broached. Best bet is Taiwanese since they are usually uniform height with mid-to-deep broaching.

Nothing wrong at all with MAC USA sockets. Good tools!

Let us know what you think of them. Like you, I have SO semi-deeps as my go to for 3/8". Very rare that I need something deeper, and when I do, it's almost invariably for something like a coolant sensor or a headlamp switch where a deep broach is also needed. I have Tekton's for these applications.

I've wondered if a deep broach leaves a less strong socket, but it's hard to compare apples to apples.

It might. If you only had one set of sockets. But there is a very high probability that one set, with varying lengths, will not be adequate for every use case.

That's why there's deep, mid-length, shallow, low-profile. . .

Plus i like the uniformity in my tool box. Those mac's are extra deep with a medium broach (probably 3/4 inch deep from the ol eyeball measure). Significantly longer than the SO semi deeps. Other varying length deeps are just about the same height as SO semi deeps.
Having multiple iterations makes for quick efficient work

Also, all lengths in different broach depths. Plus extra long and extra deep.

I did this math a while back before investing in semi-deeps. The shortest 10mm 'deep' socket (in non-uniform sets) is still longer than a 10mm 'semi-deep'.... but not that much longer. Semi-deeps are super useful, and if you have them, you want your deeps... deep.

Love that finish!!!! Do you have a link to these?......I was looking a while ago......still am .......for some metric upgrades. Never saw these. Is this a set?

Yeah, that's the only way to buy them. I don't think they offer the 6-22 as a set.
