I had purchased a 2.5' whip hose with swivel fitting for the end of my air hose, Princess Auto part number 0430018 (pictured below). I had this connected to my 7.5 HP compressor, regulated to 100 PSI. It failed shortly after purchase. I was working on my car (replacing a front spring), had left to pick up the part, came back to find my air hose whipping back and forth across my GRAVEL driveway aimed directly at my car. Hadn't realized it could be used as a sandblaster... The hose was not abused. I never pulled directly on it, always by the main hose (which is on a reel).

If you have one, return it and get your money back. I did call the head office to let them know of the failure, but who knows if they will do a recall.

And I guess this is also a good reminder to always shut off the main valve on your compressor tank when not in use/attended. Oh and not to buy cheap Chinese tools...

I would never buy the Chinese air hoses from PA. They just look to crappy.
