defective script on old snap on sockets

notice the E prefix. one has no E, one has an E and one is -E. the others are way out of line.. is this normal for sockets of this era?
mid 40's if i had to guess.
a couple are 6pt and some are 12pt.

I believe those are military sockets made during the war when resources where strapped.

War was on, ran out of e's. They needed them for all the Jeeps we were building.

Send them back. I'm sure snapon will make it right.

Lol. I don't have the package. These sockets are from the 40.s. I know sometime defects can be worth something. I may toss them on ebay and see what they go for.
