I'm seeing several 30A receptacles advertised as "duplex," though they can accept only a single plug. I thought "duplex" meant a receptacle where you could connect two devices, like the 15A/20A duplex receptacles on every wall of a typical house. What I am seeing on the following web pages are not duplexes, but they are calling them duplexes. Has the term changed while I was not looking?

Barnabas- you haven't lost your mind. What you are seeing are graphics designers and webmasters that are making websites for products that they know nothing about. Often, when one of them makes a mistake, the others blindly copy him and make the same mistake.

Definition of duplex

(Entry 1 of 3)
1a: having two principal elements or parts : DOUBLE, TWOFOLD
b: having two complementary polynucleotide strands of DNA or of DNA and RNA
2: allowing telecommunication in opposite directions simultaneously

I see nothing in post #1 that fits any of the definitions. Someone entered the data that has no clue what it even is. It's happening everywhere. I didn't look at all of them, but the Fastenal sight has a picture of a 5-30R and it says 6-30R in the description. The Hubbell site however has everything right on the #9330 so it has to be on Fastenal's end.
