Anyone have knowledge of a deflecting beam type torque wrench that will register greater than 150 ft lbs? Searching all over the net and have yet to locate one. Not a big fan of clickers. Jeep axle nuts need 175, any rec's? Thanks!

Thanks Treeman, exactly what I was looking for... but money does seem to be an object as of late.

Alychymist... Awesome! Never knew such an option existed. Will likely go this direction. Googling for commercially available units now!

If you can't find the extension bar factory-made, think about modifying an inexpensive used wrench. I regularly make tools like this. I have made extension bars from an imported box end wrench with a socket welded at the proper length to fit the torque wrench. Impact sockets work well for this because of the thick walls and especially noe chrome plating. Be sure to grind off any plating that might get into the weld area if you use a plated tool to modify. Remember, it is 12" center-to-center on the dimensions to double the torque reading.
