I am currently refurbing a 1952 Delta bandsaw. I have a question about belt tension. When I bought the saw it had the steel stand and a 1/4 horse motor mounted. I have since acquired the CI stand and a 1/2 horse Delta motor. My question is how do I adjust drive belt tension on this? I still need to get a pulley for the motor since it has a 3/4" shaft and the 1/4 horse had a 1/2" shaft. Any help would be appreciated.

My 1954 model has the cast iron "Art Deco" base as well, and luckily it is currently all in pieces so pics were easy. I don't see any problems with belt tensioning if you have all the parts. You simply raise/lower the motor base via the 4 corner studs to change the tension.
