Delta 4" Belt Sander Issue?

Whenever I put pressure onto the belt the motor drive belt still runs (as does the disc sanding portion) but the roller stops and the belt stops.

Essentially, whenever even light pressure is applied, the belt stops moving.

I've tightened the drive belt. Didn't help or work.

It seems like the actual sanding belt tensioner needs tightened but I don't see anywhere to tighten the sanding belt tensioner?

Your sanding belt is either too slack or there is not enough friction on the drive roller

I can't find a tension adjustment for the sanding belt tensioner system, only the drive belt. Above is a link to the manual I found for it and can't find the sanding belt tension adjustment anywhere in that manual.

What do you suggest I do? I'm at a loss!

Your disk is on the same shaft as the belt drive roller. Tightening the drive belt won't change anything, unless the thing slows down when using the disk . Spring #35 is your tensioner.

When I just re-checked the roller, it's actually the roller itself slipping on the shaft within it that's attached to the pulley system. What could be wrong there?

In that case, there appear to be 2 set screws, one on top of the other, #22, that may be loose. You'll have to remove the outer one to tighten the inner then reinstall the outer. That's all assuming the diagram linked above is correct

Yup, agree on all accounts with this. Especially the diagram linked being right, who knows where that came from.
