Delta 4in belt 6in disc sander help.

I picked up a nice sander very cheep today. It appears to be well taken care of, but it's missing the belt fence. I was wondering if anyone has this sander and could take some pictures and measurements so that I can make one for my sander.

I have one that is similar... SA446. I can take pictures and measure it tonight if that will help

I have one like that, too. Can't be sure as I can't read the part# pic.

But NLA. Would be easy to fab one. Just an "L" shaped chunk of steel maybe 1" tall, Short leg has a groove for the fixing bolt.

Before you waste a lot of time on that, put it through its paces. I had one and found it grossly under powered except for light jobs such as chisel sharpening, etc. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough!

Replaced it it with an older one that has an external motor, like HF sells.

Zoom up to .48 if you decide to proceed with yours and want to see that stop you are asking about.
