Delta 70-200 drill press Spindle pulley has up and down movement

The spindle pulley mounted tight has less than, but close to 1/8" play up and down. Along with the spindle sleeve it is mounted to.

The pulley is about the same amount lower than the adjustment pulley pulley.
If you pull the spindle pulley up, it is flush with the adjustment pulley

Any words of wisdom on a Delta 70-200?

Up down play in drill press spindles is prety normal. 1/8in is nothing i would worry about, its not a milling machine.

ThaNK YOU. Better to get good advice than wing it and do damage. I'm not used to messing with stuff with that much slop.
